As we get ready to turn the page on another year, I’m delighted to share that Predatech has now turned five!
That’s five years of great memories and a lot of client work that the whole team can be very proud about. In this short blog, I’ll briefly recap some of my 2025 highlights and preview what we can look forward to in the New Year.
My 2025 highlights
I’m excited to share that we worked with over 300 clients this year. We know that we operate in a competitive market (we’re not even the only cyber security company on our street!) so having a growing number of clients trust us with their security testing and accreditations really does mean a lot.
Earlier this year Predatech was acquired by Ekco, a leading security-first managed cloud provider. This widened the depth of services that we can offer our clients, and we’ve also worked with Ekco to deliver services to their clients.
Our penetration testing service continues to scale. This year we delivered testing for an even wider range of organisations – from pre-launch start-ups to FTSE 100 multinationals. This year, it’s been particularly interesting to see clients embed AI into their businesses and how the team has developed novel ways to test this.
We celebrated reaching the 1,500 Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus certificates issued milestone back in June and we’re not that far off reaching 2,000 – something to look forward to in 2026!
We’ve helped more organisations than ever before on their ISO 27001 journeys. Our ISO 27001 Gap Analysis in particular has helped many organisations to quickly understand their ISO 27001 readiness – including what gaps need to be addressed and how best to close them.
For a team that loves its food (lunch plans are often discussed and decided before 9am) – our favourite restaurants for team meals have remained the same – with Diecast and Dishoom continuing to delight our tastebuds!

Areas of focus for 2026
I’m very lucky to have a great team and growing and developing team Predatech remains a key area of focus. Heading into the first half of 2026, I plan to bring on board a few new faces, while also looking for opportunities to further develop the existing team.
A key part of our role is to listen and respond to client needs and this is something we’ll continue to do in the New Year. Understanding what our clients need today and what they may need going forwards helps us to develop our offering while always keeping our promise of delivering an excellent customer experience.
The start of the year also marks the return of the British Data Awards. Our quest to discover and celebrate the UK’s data success stories is back for its sixth edition and we can’t wait to showcase the great work being delivered by so many organisations. I’m also looking forward to dusting off my tuxedo and heading to London for the best night in data once again!
If you’ve read all the way to this point – thank you! It really is an honour to lead Predatech and to work with so many great clients. I can’t wait to come back from the Christmas break refreshed and ready to do it all again!
