As we get ready to wrap-up a busy 2024, I’m happy to share that Predatech is now four years old!

Writing this blog is one of my favourite things to do at this time of the year because it lets me reflect on what we’ve achieved in 2024.

This year we’ve delivered cyber security services to over 230 clients – from across the UK (and beyond). The trust that each of these organisations has placed in us is something that makes me particularly proud and I’m determined that we’ll remain focused on meeting and exceeding client expectations as we head into the New Year.

Our 2024 Highlights:

• Added more great talent to Predatech (there’s now eight in the team).
• Became an NCSC Assured Service Provider.
• Reached the 1,000 CE/CE+ certificate milestone in July.
• Delivered >100 penetration tests, ranging from small external tests to some large-scale web app testing.
• We’re helping a diverse range of organisations to achieve ISO 27001 across industries including healthcare and financial services.
• The technical team made it to DEF CON in Las Vegas once again!
• Diecast and Dishoom emerged as our team meal favourites for 2024.

What will we focus on in 2025?

• Grow and develop the team: We’ll continue to develop Team Predatech while also adding new people to the team to ensure that we have the best talent available when our clients need it.
• Listen and respond to client needs: We know that the security requirements of some of our clients will evolve and we’re clear that in order to continue delivering an excellent customer experience, we need to continue to listen and develop our offering. This is most notable around penetration testing – with organisations increasingly thinking about what continuous testing should look like for them.
• Strengthen Partnerships: We partner with a growing amount of IT support businesses to provide Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and Penetration Testing services to their clients. As we head into the New Year, we plan to strengthen these relationships further to bring expert cyber security to more organisations.
• British Data Awards V: Our quest to discover and celebrate the UK’s data success stories kicks-off in January. 2025 will be the fifth edition of the British Data Awards which is a little exciting!

And after three years in the same building (albeit three different offices), we’ll be moving into a new office in Manchester City Centre in January. The new office is only a few minutes walk from our current home, and they’ll no doubt be a few pictures shared on LinkedIn!

Finally, I’d like to thank our clients and team for being part of Predatech’s journey in 2024. After a short Christmas break, we’ll be back, ready to do it all again!
